    "Lockdown"[1] is the seventh episode of the eighth season of The Flash, and the one-hundred-fifty-eighth episode overall. It aired on March 16, 2022.


    This episode marks the conclusion of Interlude II.

    When a criminal invades the CCPD, Barry and Kramer must trust and rely on each other if they are going to make it out safely. Meanwhile, Caitlin learns a valuable lesson while out with Frost and Mark.[2]

    • Goldface's phone ringtone is the song Love Is a Battlefield. The same song was used in Love Is a Battlefield and the episode was also named after it.
    • Multiple references to other series in the Arrowverse and other franchises were made in the usernames in Chester's Chat.
      • "pizzaparker" references Peter Parker, who delivered pizza at the beginning of Spider-Man 2.
      • "ilovebatwoman" references the titular character of Batwoman.
      • "TallguyJim45" is a possible reference to Jim Halpert from The Office, who was notably tall as said by other characters in the series.
      • "WookieLover77" likely references the Wookiees from the Star Wars franchise, though with a different spelling.
    • This episode takes place during January 2022, as the previous episode took place on New Year's Day with the two episodes written with the intention of a January air date.[3]
