DC's Legends of Tomorrow is a television series based on the characters of DC Comics and the fourth television series in the Arrowverse.
The series is developed by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Phil Klemmer with Guggenheim and Klemmer serving as showrunners. The first season premiered on January 21, 2016, and continued the stories from the Heroes Join Forces crossover event. The second season premiered on October 13, 2016. Marc Guggenheim later departed as showrunner in the third season, which premiered on October 10, 2017. Keto Shimizu then replaced Guggenheim as showrunner in the fourth season, premiering on October 22, 2018. The fifth season premiered on January 21, 2020, after a crossover episode aired on January 14, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the sixth season was delayed and premiered on May 2, 2021. The seventh season premiered on October 13, 2021. On April 29, 2022, the series was officially cancelled by The CW, concluding DC's Legends of Tomorrow with a total of 110 episodes on March 2, 2022.[1]
Legends of Tomorrow is created in order to continue the stories from the Heroes Join Forces crossover event with recurring characters from Arrow and The Flash serving as the starring cast. The series later continued multiple stories from cancelled or completed series, such as Mari McCabe from Vixen and John Constantine from Constantine. The latter also served as a regular character from the fourth to sixth season after recurring in the third season. However, Constantine departed the series in the sixth season while Matt Ryan appeared as an alternate character in the seventh season. Aside from the Arrowverse, Legends of Tomorrow also has loose ties to the DC Extended Universe, with Bodhi Sabongui, who portrayed a young Behrad Tomaz, reprising the character's alternate counterpart named Amon Tomaz in Black Adam.
