Wonder Woman is a 2017 film based on the DC Comics character, Wonder Woman, and the fourth film in the DC Extended Universe. It premiered on May 15, 2017, in Shanghai and on June 2, 2017, in the United States.
The film stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Connie Nielsen and Elena Anaya, and is directed by Patty Jenkins with screenplay by Allan Heinberg and story by Zack Snyder, Heinberg and Jason Fuchs. A sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, was released in December 2020, with Jenkins, Gadot, Pine, Eright and Nielsen returning.
Synopsis[edit source]
Before her becoming Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers... and her true destiny.
