Aquaman is a 2018 film based on the DC Comics character, Aquaman, and the sixth film in the DC Extended Universe. It premiered on November 26, 2018, at Empire, Leicester Square and on December 21, 2018, in the United States.
The film stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temuera Morrison, and Nicole Kidman, and is directed by James Wan, with screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Will Beall, story by Geoff Johns, Wan and Beall. An animated miniseries titled The Adventures of Aquaman & Mera aired from July 21 to November 17, 2018, with a sequel titled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom set to be released on December 20, 2023.

Following the events of Zack Snyder's Justice League, Arthur Curry, the reluctant heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, is caught in a battle between surface dwellers that threaten his oceans and his own people, led by his half-brother Orm, who are ready to lash out and invade the surface.
