Green Lantern is a 2011 film based on the DC Comics character, Green Lantern. It premiered on June 17, 2011.
The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett, Tim Robbins, and is directed by Martin Campbell with screenplay by Greg Berlanti, Michael Green, Marc Guggenheim, Michael Goldenberg and story by Berlanti, Green and Guggenheim.
Synopsis[edit source]
In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, an elite force of protectors for peace and justice has existed for centuries. They are the Green Lantern Corps. When a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the universe, their fate and the fate of earth lie in the hands of the Corps' newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan. [1]
