Wiki Policies
Introduction[edit | hide | hide all]
The following article is a collection of wiki policies which must be followed whilst editing pages and interacting with other users on the site. Failure to follow these rules may result in disciplinary action, such as your account being permanently banned from editing.
Article Naming[edit | hide]
In-Universe Pages[edit | hide]
Article Names[edit | hide]
Articles for things that exist in-universe should be named after the common canonical name of the page subject, as provided by the property they have appeared in or by official sources. If a name has not been provided, an article may use the name of their comic book or multiversal counterpart. In such a scenario, a conjecture template must be added to the top of the page.
Universe & Multiverse Discriminators[edit | hide]
Following the subject's name, its home universe must be added to the end of the title in the following applicable format: “NAME (Earth-?)”, "NAME (Earth-?A)", “NAME (UE-?)”, or “NAME (REALM NAME)”. If the universe was significantly changed following the Crisis, then the multiverse of the subject should also be added in the following applicable format: "NAME (Earth-?: Pre-Crisis)", or "NAME (Earth-?: Pre-Crisis)". The only characters where neither of these will be added are those who do not originate from any known universe, such as God. As for universe pages, they should also only contain (Pre-Crisis) or (Post-Crisis) discriminators if they were significantly changed by the Crisis.
Duplicate Article Titles[edit | hide]
If two characters share the same name and home universe, a relevant distinction may be added to their page names (e.g. Declan (Time Master) (Earth-1: Pre-Crisis) and Declan (The Smell) (Earth-1: Pre-Crisis)). If two locations share the same name and home universe, their locale may be added to their page names (e.g. Main Street, Blue Valley (Earth-2: Post-Crisis)).
Out-of-Universe Pages[edit | hide]
Cast and Crew[edit | hide]
Articles for cast and crew members should be named after the preferred name of the individual in question. If this conflicts with the name they were originally credited with, the former name should only be mentioned once at the beginning of the article.
Comics, Episodes and Films[edit | hide]
Articles for comics, episodes, and films should be named by their official title. If two pieces of media share the same name, the show name, "(Film)", or "(Comic)" should be added to the end of the article title.
Television Shows[edit | hide]
Articles for television shows should be named after their official title. If two shows have the same name, "(YEAR TV Series)" should be added to the end of the article title.
Citations[edit | hide]
For in-universe pages, all events in the biography, equipment, history, powers and abilities, and trivia sections and all aliases, birthdates, death dates, and height and weight information in the infobox must be referenced. Likewise, synopses for books, comic issues, episodes, and films, as well as information relating to upcoming content, must be cited.
Permitted sources include canon media, official news sources, press releases, and social media posts from cast and crew members. IMDB, Wikipedia and other fan made sites may not be cited.
Discussions[edit | hide]
Any user may leave a comment on a talk page as long as it is relevant to the wiki. These conversations must remain respectful and must not include personal attacks, death threats, or harassment against other people or groups of people. If you want, you may also join our Discord Server to discuss both the wiki and its content in greater detail.
Images[edit | hide]
Article Files[edit | hide]
File names must state what universe, multiverse, or extradimensional realm their subject originates from, and must have a number starting at 001 at the end. Files must be PNGs that are of or above 720p resolution and must not include a watermark, unless it is impossible to find the same file of a higher quality. All images must be uploaded with a licensing template which best fits the image and with the default upload summary filled out.
User Page Images[edit | hide]
Users are permitted to upload an unlimited amount of images for use on their own user pages, as long as it is not deemed excessive by a wiki staff member. The title of these images must include your username and a relevant description of the image.
Notability[edit | hide]
All books, cast and crew members, comics, comic issues and volumes, episodes, films, soundtracks, seasons, television shows, and video games should be given their own article. Characters, events, locations, objects, organizations, and teams should be given their own article as long as they are named or are otherwise relevant to the plot of a given piece of media. If something from the real world is mentioned in a piece of media, it should only be given a page if its history diverges from real life.
Undesignated Universes[edit | hide]
If an undesignated universe, or something from an undesignated universe, appears in a piece of media, the wiki will create a temporary designation for it until it is named. Once the universe is officially named, it will be moved to that designation and all other UE numbers will be moved up by one.
Current Designations[edit | hide]
Upcoming Content[edit | hide]
Upcoming comics, comic issues and volumes, films, seasons, soundtracks, television shows, and video games, as well as the cast and crew involved with them, should be given their own page. Pages for upcoming characters, events, locations, objects, organizations, or teams, or images relating to them, should not be created or uploaded.
