Lucifer is a television series based on the DC Comics character, Lucifer Morningstar.
The series is developed by Tom Kapinos with Ildy Modrovich serving as showrunner. The first season premiered on January 25, 2016. The second and third season premiered on September 19, 2016, and October 2, 2017. Fox later cancelled the series with Netflix picking it up afterwards. The fourth season was then released on May 8, 2019, after two bonus episodes aired two weeks after the season 3 finale. The fifth season was split into two parts and was released on August 21, 2020, and May 28, 2021, respectively. The sixth and final season was released on September 10, 2021, concluding the series with a total of 93 episodes.
Lucifer Morningstar made a cameo appearance in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event and was retroactively established to be set on Earth-666. The events of his cameo are set 5 years before the series premiere. Prior to the crossover, posters of Supergirl were seen in multiple episodes.

Lucifer Morningstar has decided he's had enough of being the dutiful servant in Hell and decides to spend some time on Earth to better understand humanity. He settles in Los Angeles - the City of Angels.[1]
