Peacemaker is a web television series based on the DC Comics character, Peacemaker, and the first television series in the DC Extended Universe, with the second season serving as the first television series in the DC Universe.[1]
The series was developed by James Gunn as a spin-off of the 2021 film, The Suicide Squad. The first season premiered on January 13, 2022, with Gunn writing all 8 episodes and directing 5 of them. After Chris Conrad departed the series due to creative differences, Gunn directed all reshot scenes of his character in 5 and a half episodes with Freddie Stroma.[2] The second season was renewed on February 16, 2022, premiering on HBO Max's successor, Max.
A spin-off based on Viola Davis' Amanda Waller, titled Waller, is currently in development.[1]

Peacemaker is a live action series that follows Christopher Smith AKA Peacemaker, an extremist murderer who believes he's on a quest for peace, killing anyone and everyone to achieve his ultimate goal.
