    Ik Nobe Llok (Earth-1: Post-Crisis)

I needed to stop them! So, I inhabited the worst person I could find. This man, Leota, he's... he's a murderer. But still, I know his thoughts. He's... Even he could have changed. I know that. I took that from him. I took his freedom and his face. And every day, I dread waking up to his memories.
    — Ik Nobe Llok to Leota Adebayo[src]

Ik Nobe Llok, possessing the body of Clemson Murn, was a dissenter to the Butterfly Queen Eek Stack Ik Ik's ideas of an invasion. As Murn, the dissenter became an agent of A.R.G.U.S. and reported directly to Amanda Waller while leading a task force in order to thwart the invasion.

    Biography[edit | hide | hide all]

    Early Life[edit | hide]

The Butterfly arrived on Earth after the destruction of his species' homeworld. Living on Earth for years, the Butterfly Queen decided to invade Earth and takeover its inhabitants as hosts, which was disagreed by the Butterfly. He soon left the group and began possessing the body of the ruthless and infamous Clemson Murn, who he considered to be the worst person he could find.[1]

    Agent Murn[edit | hide]

For the later years, Murn worked directly under Amanda Waller while finding ways to thwart the invasion, eventually being tasked with leading the covert Task Force X.[1]

    Meet the Team[edit | hide]

Fifth months after Christopher Smith recovered from his injuries, Murn was informed of Smith's departure from Mount Rouge and alerted his team, including Emilia Harcourt, John Economos and Leota Adebayo. The four arrived at Smith's trailer and surprised him by the windows. Murn introduced the team to Smith and began debriefing their latest mission, Project Butterfly.[3]

After letting Smith return to his father's residence, Murn met Smith at the Fennel Fields diner and gave Smith the dossier of their target, Senator Royland Goff, who they suspected to be a "Butterfly".[3]

    Butterfly Attack[edit | hide]

Later that night, Murn was alerted by Harcourt that Smith encountered and killed a Butterfly. He returned to the base, where he demanded Economos to help erase Smith's connection to his vehicle. Unfortunately, while Murn was in the bathroom, Ecnomos took the liberty to change the owner's name and fingerprints to Smith's father's, enraging Murn with his illogical decision.[4]

Afterwards, Murn gathered the team including an injured Smith to a meeting, giving each a task to complete to cover up the incident before it attracts civilians' attention.[3]

    First Mission[edit | hide]

With Smith's incident out of their concern, Task Force X prepared for their first mission on the assassination of Royland Goff. Murn debriefed the squad while they drove to Goff's residence. He soon briefly bonded with Economos when they discussed Murn's feelings while preparing for the assassination, claiming that he had never shared a feeling with others, much to Economos' surprise.[5]

While in position, Economos observed the Goffs return from their trip and alerted Murn. Adebayo claimed that Economos' use of the "Berenstein Bears" was incorrect and revealed that it should be "Berenstain Bears". Murn initially told them that it was not important and soon decided that the former was correct, ignoring Adebayo's correction.[5]

Soon, Murn discovered that the Goffs were about to enter the building and urged Smith to fire his weapon, only to realize that the bodyguard blocked Goff himself. He was frustrated over their failure, but then saw that the Goffs went to the dining room, which Smith could have another chance. The field team was disgusted and shocked that the Goffs ingested purple fluids out of their mouth. This alerted Murn, and he demanded that Smith takes his shot, killing all the Goffs including the children. However, Smith was indecisive over his actions before Vigilante stepped up and replaced his position, killing the Goffs except for Royland. Judomaster appeared from the bushes and attacked Vigilante and Peacemaker, later knocking the both of them unconscious.[5]

With Economos, Adebayo and Murn being the only ones left, Murn prepared the firearms for himself and Adebayo, while ordering Economos to do whatever he can to stop anyone from leaving. Murn and Adebayo later woke Harcourt and infiltrated the residence, locating Smith at a position under them. Murn then revealed an adhesive explosive from his pocket, telling Adebayo to stick it on the doorway to the basement while he connected the device to his phone. The trio hid behind chairs and sofas as Murn detonated the device, with no response. He thought the experimental device did not work and walked to remove it, only for it to explode right in front of him. Harcourt was concerned over Murn, and asked if he was fine, he gave a thumbs up and signalled them to rescue Smith and Vigilante.[5]
