Eek Stack Ik Ik (Earth-1: Post-Crisis)

Our kind traveled here from a planet that had become unlivable. Your planet had the habitat we needed, water to drink, and air to breathe. Your food couldn't sustain us, but... that's why we brought her. The cow would help the last of our people survive for another hundred years. But not long after we arrived, we realized the people of Earth were on the exact same trajectory as our people had been, ignoring science in favor of populist leaders who tell you that the floods and the fires and the disease are unrelated to your own actions, valuing profit over survival, treating minor inconveniences as assaults on your freedom. And so, we made a vow to do anything we could to change your future. We made a vow to make the choices for you that you were incapable of making on your own, to save your people and your world, no matter how many lives it cost us.
    — Eek Stack Ik Ik to Peacemaker[src]

Queen Eek Stack Ik Ik,[2] possessing the body of Senator Royland Goff and Detective Sophie Song, is the leader of the Butterflies who made a vow to save Earth from its demise.

    Biography[edit | hide | hide all]

    Early Life[edit | hide]

At some point, Queen Eek Stack Ik Ik led the Butterflies to Earth after their homeworld became unlivable. However, Earth's food do not sustain Butterflies, and they were forced to bring the "Cow", a creature they milk for nutrients, alongside themselves and set up a base in Coverdale Ranch.[3]

    Senator Goff[edit | hide]

Throughout the years, Eek Stack Ik Ik possessed the body of Royland Goff and posed as a Senator. Her actions were then discovered by A.R.G.U.S. and Amanda Waller. The organization later sent a task force to kill those high-profile individuals who were possible Butterflies, not knowing the task force was led by a Butterfly dissenter.[2][4]

Peacemaker and Vigilante look at "Goff"

In 2021, Peacemaker was among the members of the task force and stormed the Goff Residence. After their unsuccessful assassination, "Goff" sent Judomaster to capture Peacemaker and Vigilante, and she interrogated both of them. Unfortunately, he was unable to acquire any crucial information from Peacemaker and decided to cut off Vigilante's pinky toe, after sending Judomaster to send a message to Glan Tai. The former then escaped and dueled "Goff". During the chaos, Peacemaker grabbed "Goff"'s shotgun and shot her in the head, releasing the Butterfly hiding in the skull.[1]

    Peace Sign[edit | hide]

Unbeknownst to the task force, Eek Stack Ik Ik was captured by Peacemaker and locked in a jar. Over time, he fed her with the Amber Fluid in one of the jars he found in the Goff Residence. When Peacemaker suffered from a panic attack and dropped on the ground, Eek Stack Ik Ik rolled in her jar to show concern alongside Eagly.[5]

One day during Peacemaker and Vigilante's conversation, Eek Stack Ik Ik drew a peace sign on the side of the jar and caught the attention of the two. They then instructed her to answer yes/no questions, though were unsuccessful when Sophie Song attempted to arrest Peacemaker. As the two escaped, Vigilante accidentally dropped on the ground and cracked the jar holding Eek Stack Ik Ik, who then flew to possess the body of Sophie Song.[2]

    Full Invasion[edit | hide]

Eek Stack Ik Ik greets the Butterflies

Later that day, Eek Stack Ik Ik began to adapt to the body of Sophie Song and greeted her subordinates on a field outside of the precinct. She then led the Butterflies into the building and allowed them to take over the individuals in it, police officers and criminals alike. Eventually, she led them outside of the building, preparing for the final part of their invasion.[2]

With the police department under her control, Eek Stack Ik Ik led a squad of officers to Overview Lofts Suites and attacked "Murn". After shooting him in the chest, she discovered that he was, in fact, her former warrior, Ik Nobe Llok. She grabbed his Butterfly true form and told him that he should have joined them, squishing the weak body and killing him.[6]

Battle of Coverdale Ranch[edit | hide]

On the following day, Eek Stack Ik Ik discovered that Coverdale Ranch was infiltrated by the task force. Before she could act, Leota Adebayo activated the "Sonic Boom" helmet and destroyed the facility, killing a great amount of Butterflies before the task force massacred the remaining with their firearms. Eek Stack Ik Ik then escaped to the underground level of the barn and attempted to send the "Cow" to their base in Maine. She was pursued by Peacemaker, who fell through an unstable step and was covered with rubble. Thankfully, she pulled him out of danger and decided to tell him the truth that they made a vow to save Earth from having the same fate as their planet. Out of her expectations, Peacemaker refused to assist her and activated the "Human Torpedo" helmet, sending Adebayo towards the "Cow" and killing it. He soon grabbed Eek Stack Ik Ik's firearm and shot Locke in the head, right before shooting Song in the chest. Eek Stack Ik Ik later escaped through the mouth of Song, with Peacemaker sparing her from death.[3]

    One Last Meal[edit | hide]

In the end, Eek Stack Ik Ik flew to Peacemaker's trailer and asked for a final meal, with Peacemaker pouring the final drop of Amber Fluid from the jar.[3]
