    Early Life[edit | hide]

Chloe Jane Decker was born on November 6, 1981, to actor Penelope Decker and police officer John Decker.[2]

At some point, she became an actor and starred in a film called Hot Tub High School in which she filmed a scene topless but soon left the industry after realizing she wasn't contributing to the betterment of society. She instead decided to join the Los Angeles Police Department where she would work her way up to the rank of detective-lieutenant.

While working at the LAPD, Decker met Dan Espinoza who she married and had a child with named Trixie Espinoza, but the relationship eventually ended, and the two got divorced. She also worked on a case where a detective named Malcolm Graham was shot on Palmetto Street, which resulted in her being ostracized by the rest of her department when she saw things differently than everyone else.[1]

    Delilah's Murder[edit | hide]

In 2016, Decker was assigned to a case where a famous singer named Delilah was murdered in a drive-by shooting outside of Lux. Once at the scene, she was met by Espinoza who told her that the shooter was a named Eddie Deacon and that the killing was probably drug related as they both had drugs on them. However, she remained unconvinced of this theory after seeing that he was wearing an expensive watch that a low-level drug dealer would not have been able to afford and so went inside to question one of the witnesses to the case, Lucifer Morningstar. Lucifer asked if he knew her from somewhere but was soon interrupted by Decker who asked how he knew the victim. He explained that she used to work at Lux and that he had spoken to the shooter prior to his death, who told him that he shot her for money. Decker then questioned how he managed to survive the attack, to which Lucifer responded that he is an immortal, but she remained unconvinced and then left after being asked if they had had sex before.

She then went to question Delilah's ex-boyfriend, 2Vile, at his apartment after finding out that he was the last person to call Eddie, only to find that Lucifer was already there. She asked 2Vile about this, and he told her that Deacon had dealt him drugs before, but he had nothing to do with her murder. One of 2Vile's associates then interrupted the conversation as he recognized her from Hot Tub High School, which made Lucifer realize where he knew her from. Decker tried to get back to her questioning but was once again interrupted by Lucifer who told her that he already knows this information as he had just threatened 2Vile's life, which resulted in him being arrested. He was then led outside where he attempted to convince Decker to allow him to help with the investigation through using his powers, but he soon found that they had no effect on her for some reason. This forced Lucifer to reveal that the reason he wanted to help was because he felt that if he hadn't meddled with Delilah's career, then she might still be alive, which convinced Decker to allow him to join her. Once in the car, Lucifer told her that 2Vile mentioned a therapist Delilah was seeing called Linda Martin, who they then discover has an office in Beverly Hills.

They were about to visit Martin's office when Chloe received a phone call from Harris Place Elementary School which said she had to pick up her daughter because she got into a fight with a bully. Once there, Decker told Lucifer to stay in the car, but he doesn't listen and instead goes inside where he meets Trixie who tells him what happened. This results in Lucifer approaching the bully and changing his eyes to a demonic form, which causes her to scream and Decker to come out of the office. Decker, Lucifer and Trixie then went outside where they were met by Espinoza who was late and this caused an argument which was broken up by Lucifer. Espinoza then took Trixie home while Decker and Lucifer went to question Martin about who Delilah was having an affair with. Martin didn't want to tell them but was convinced through a mixture of Lucifer's powers and a promise of sex to tell them that it was with actor Grey Cooper. The promise of sex had to be postponed, however, as Decker told Lucifer that they had to leave.

They then went to question Grey Cooper and while there Decker notices that he was wearing the same watch as the shooter, which he tries to pass off as a movie prop. His wife, Amanda, interrupted though to say that Delilah bought it for him. Lucifer then used his powers to get Grey to admit that he was having an affair with Delilah, which in turn caused Amanda to admit that she already knew and was sleeping with his bodyguard, Bobby. This resulted in a fight between the two men which got them both arrested, but it was found that neither Gray nor Amanda had connections with Eddie.

Decker and Lucifer then went back to Lux and had a brief conversation about she was there despite claiming to be repulsed by him. They then see a report on TV about how album sales for the soundtrack to Time Will Tell has reached number 15 on the Billboard charts as a result of Delilah's death, which makes Decker realize that her record producer and ex-boyfriend, Jimmy Barnes, had ordered the hit for the royalty money and paid the shooter with his watch. They then went to arrest him, but Barnes took one of his employees hostage and threatened to shoot him if they come any closer. Lucifer remained unfazed and walked towards him, which caused Decker to shoot at Barnes as he was preparing to shoot him. This caused an argument between the two which was interrupted by Barnes shooting Decker. However, Lucifer used his powers to save her and then went to torture Jimmy using his devil face. Decker was then taken to hospital where she wakes up to find Lucifer waiting for her. She asks how he isn't dead, to which Lucifer again states that he is immortal and then asked what happened to Barnes, with Lucifer responding that he got what he deserved. Trixie then entered the room and hugged her mother while Lucifer left.[1]
