“ | Make your own future. Make your own past. It's all...right...now. | ” |
— Barry Allen[src]
|
Bartholomew Henry "Barry" Allen is the son of Henry Allen and the late Nora Allen.
As a child, Allen witnessed the murder of his mother and his father's imprisonment over the crime. Growing up without his parents, Allen grew up to study forensics and criminology in order solve the suspicious crime.
Years later, Allen was struck by lightning and gained a connection to the Speed Force, becoming the speedster vigilante of Central City with a red protective suit. Soon afterwards, Allen was discovered by the U.S. government and recorded on the A.R.G.U.S. Metahuman list.
During Steppenwolf's attack on Earth in search of the Mother Boxes, Allen was recruited by Bruce Wayne to join a team of powered individuals. Allen gladly accepted the offer and successfully thwarted the invasion.
During the Crisis, Allen, with the help of Victor Stone, entered the Speed Force and met a counterpart of himself. Both Allens confronted each other and showed appreciation on each other's outfit before Allen was inspired by and adopted his counterpart's alter ego of The Flash.

During the Crisis, Allen was present in the Speed Force and was not aware of the event. Later, his Earth-1 doppelgänger met him and Allen thought he was a cosplayer. Allen of Earth-1 told him that they are both the Flash, an alias he has not yet used in his universe. They both were impressed by each other's suit and introduced themselves as Barry Allen. Allen of Earth-1 claimed that this is not possible now, which confused Allen as he was not aware of the Crisis. Allen slowly faded away saying he told Victor it was possible.[2]
Butterfly Invasion[edit | hide]
In January 2022, Allen, alongside the Justice League, was contacted by Amanda Waller to assist the 11th Street Kids in thwarting the Butterfly Invasion. However, the team arrived after the battle concluded, with Peacemaker carrying the unconscious body of Emilia Harcourt away while emphasizing the rumor of Aquaman having sex with fish. He expressed his annoyance with the rumor and Allen claimed that it was not a rumor, which enraged Arthur in swearing at him. The two then laughed at their joke and looked at the leaving task force.[9]
