George "Digger" Harkness is a criminal and a member of Task Force X known as Captain Boomerang.

Biography

Corto Maltese Mission

After being a wanted criminal for several years, Harkness was captured and imprisoned back in Belle Reve. In 2021, Harkness was recruited on a mission to Corto Maltese.

Meeting Harley Quinn after their previous mission, Harkness greeted her as she boarded the Sheba. The team then dropped in the shores of Corto Maltese, where they swam to the island. However, Blackguard exposed their hiding location and started a battle between the army and the team. During the battle, Harkness used a glowing boomerang and decapitated multiple enemies easily. Unfortunately, Mongal's unsuccessful attempt to bring down a helicopter caused the branches of the trees to stab Harkness on his body, eventually causing an explosion and killing Harkness as he smiled at Harley.

• Trick Boomerangs: With his mastery in boomerangs, Harkness often uses a series of metal boomerangs as his standard weapon. However, he often uses boomerangs with different functions for different situations.
• Nano-Bomb: Upon joining Task Force X, Harkness was injected with a bomb in the base of his skull.

Notes

• Harkness has a unicorn fetish.
• According to Amanda Waller, Digger is one of the very few that is able to survive an attack from a Metahuman. However, it was revealed that during The Flash's combat with Harkness, he was simply pushed away by superhuman speed.
• Harkness has at least two showdowns with The Flash, with one being him tying The Flash to a giant boomerang.
