When Barry called the police, he told them to go at the corner of 4th and Garrick which is a reference to Jay Garrick the Golden Age Flash.
The mask introduced in the episode would be reused again in Fast Forward.
The character of Dave Mills makes a background cameo at the beginning. Mills would be properly introduced in Be My Baby this time with a minor role and credited compared to this episode.
The character of Kate Tatting introduced in the episode is most likely based on Catwoman as both of them share the two similarities.
- Both are professional thieves.
- She is a cat burglar which may be a reference to Catwoman having a cat.
