Ted Preminger was the head curator of the Central City Museum.[1]

    Biography[edit | hide | hide all]

    Early Life[edit | hide]

At some point, Ted was an archaeology professor in a college and had notable students such as Barry Allen and Celia Wayne. Over time, Barry Allen became his favorite student to the point where Barry worked a couple of summers at the museum. When Barry became a Junior year at 19, he switched his major to police science, which caused Ted to be disappointed and thus cut contact with Barry. On the other hand, Celia made a career on her studies with Ted and became his new favorite student.[1]

    The Museum theft[edit | hide]

When the Museum received the rights to display the Death Mask of Rasputin, Ted was warned about the arrival of a group of thieves by the FBI and agent Mitch Lestrange was assigned to protecting the mask by Washington. They went to the Central City Police Precinct and made a security briefing about how important it is to protect the mask. Ted went on to explain how much the museum would benefit from the display before Lestrange reminded him that the goal is to ensure the protection rather than exposing it.

After the briefing, he met Barry Allen again after years of silence, and they both awkwardly tried to talk, and he revealed that he is aware that Barry had a "Lab accident". Barry went on and told him that he volunteered for a special security position at the museum. Ted also revealed that he is counting on the mask's Box office to save the museum from bankruptcy. A day later, Ted talked to Barry, who was standing in the museum's corridor, and they had a talk about what was Barry's position, and he told him that he is directly assigned to him. Ted went on to express that he believed that Lestrange was just paranoid and that the thieves are after something else. He also revealed how he didn't have the manpower to maintain the place due to some exhibit being filled with dust due to the low maintenance. The mask eventually arrived at the museum and was placed on display with an increased security. When agent Anderson asked why the mask was that important, Barry lectured him about the mask's history and its importance. Ted then interrupted Barry to show them how the mask reacts with some lights on the right angle of the mask.

Later, Ted learned from Celia that the Mask will have quit the museum due to Stan Kovacs involvement with the group of thieves. Barry found Ted in an old exhibit room and Ted expressed how proud he was about how Barry eventually used his archeologist skills. Lestrange then showed up and told them that there is a crime wave that hit the city which forced all officers to intervene. Minutes later, Ted caught Celia running away with the mask, which shocked him, and he didn't want to let her go with it. Before Celia could shoot him, Barry suddenly appeared and cuffed her before any harm can be done. Proud, Ted put his hand on Barry's shoulder and realized that he was bleeding. Before fainting, Barry asked him to call his personal doctor, McGee. The next day, ted showed Shawn Allen Barry's nephew the museum, and he was happy to see it. When they got out, Shawn asked if he could stay a little longer, to which Barry agreed.[1]
