    • Paula Marshall, the actor that portrayed Iris West, was credited as a series regular but was written out after the pilot.
    • Star Labs is located at 50 Garrick Avenue, which is a reference to the golden age flash Jay Garrick.
    • This episode also served as a movie.
    • Compared to the common budget of each episode of the series, the pilot budget cost over 6 million dollars which is almost four times more than the other episodes that cost around a million and half.
