If you make life bleak enough, people become so focused on survival, they forget they can revolt.
    — Zari Tomaz[src]

Zari Adrianna Tomaz[11], born Zari Adrianna Tarazi, is a hacker from the erased dystopian timeline of 2042, a bearer of the Air Totem and a member of the Legends of Tomorrow. Tomaz is also the daughter of an unnamed man and Nasreen Tomaz, and the sister of the late Behrad Tomaz. She was erased when the Legends altered the timeline in Heyworld, 2019, which caused the Anti-Metahuman Act to never have happened and Tomaz never became a hacker. As a result, Tomaz is now known as Zari Tarazi.

In 2020, Tomaz was brought back by the Loom of Fate, revealing that she simply entered the Air Totem when the timeline changed. Zari worked alongside the Legends once more against the Fates before returning to the totem in order to preserve Behrad's survival. Fortunately, Zari Tomaz and Zari Tarazi made a deal to switch positions regularly, allowing Tomaz and Nate Heywood to maintain a healthy relationship.

    Biography[edit | hide | hide all]

    Early Life[edit | hide]

Zari Tarazi was born around 2009 and 2010 to Nasreen Tarazi and an unnamed man.

    The Air Totem[edit | hide]

Due to the Anti-Metahuman Act, where Metahumans and religion were considered illegal, the Tarazi family lived as the Tomaz family and hid from A.R.G.U.S.. Unfortunately, their possession of the Air Totem led to A.R.G.U.S. locating them, with Tomaz's brother, Behrad, being killed.[12]

After being hunted by Kuasa, Tomaz confronted the Legends of Tomorrow and fooled them into helping her steal the totem back. She then joined the Legends as a time-traveling hero and discovered more about the mythology of the Totems of Zambesi with fellow bearer Amaya Jiwe.[13]

    Point of Divergence[edit | hide]

However, the Anti-Metahuman Act was erased from existence when Tomaz altered the timeline with the Legends, creating a more accepting society. Tomaz was then erased from the timeline and replaced by Zari Tarazi. Unbeknownst to the Legends, Tomaz was preserved in the World Between Worlds.[14]

Thankfully, Tomaz's revised timeline self entered the realm in hopes of understanding the totem. Both conversed about their respective timelines and expressed their love towards their younger brothers. Tomaz was then left in the realm while Tarazi returned to the mortal plane.[14]

    Return[edit | hide]

After the Earth became Loomworld, Tomaz in the Air Totem possessed Zari Tarazi's body and helped the Legends. After they escaped the TV Universe, Clotho splits her and Tarazi into two separate individuals.[5]
