    Cosmic Treadmill (Earth-1: Pre-Crisis)

Do I want to know what that is?
It's a machine that uses kinetic energy to open quantum wormholes in space and time, which is a lot of power in the wrong hands.

The Cosmic Treadmill is an advanced treadmill created by Cisco Ramon to withstand speedsters' superhuman speed and later modified for Time Travel.

    History[edit | hide | hide all]

Birth of The Flash[edit | hide]

Allen is assisted by Team Flash

In 2014, Barry Allen woke up from his coma after being struck by lightning during the Particle Accelerator Explosion. Allen later discovered that he possessed superhuman speed and was connected to the Speed Force. With the help of Harrison Wells and Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon created a treadmill that could withstand Allen's speed for his trainings.[1]

When Zoom stole his speed, Barry went on the treadmill and was drained until he loses his speed.[2]

The treadmill was later placed in the Starchives after Allen no longer required it.[3]

    Post-Flashpoint Timeline[edit | hide]

After Flashpoint, Barry altered the timeline and the Speed Lab was created to hold the treadmill.[4]

Iris West-Allen briefly used the machine when Barry's powers were temporarily transferred to her.[5]

    Rogue War[edit | hide]

Red Death forces The Flash to power the treadmill

In February 2023, the Red Death arrived in a different timeline and struggled to return to her timeline as the Speed Force did not allow her entry using inorganic speed. Stranded in a different timeline, the Red Death assembled a team of criminals to acquire necessary devices and machinery to create a Cosmic Treadmill of her own. With the Temporal Scanner from Corbin Taft Industries, Roemer Accelerator core from Kord Industries, and the Quantum Vibration Engine from the Department of Defense, Mark Blaine activated the Cosmic Treadmill for The Flash to Power it with his organic speed. However, at the last second, Blaine overloaded the treadmill and destroyed it, stopping the Red Death from returning to her home timeline.[6][7]

    Possible Future[edit | hide]

    Godspeed escapes to 2021

    The Godspeed Imperative[edit | hide]

In the possible future of 2049, Nora and Bart West-Allen chased Godspeed across the city and found him at Flash Museum. Godspeed then opened a portal using the Cosmic Treadmill that was on display and went to 2021. Despite hesitating for several seconds, the West-Allens ran into the portal anyway and travelled from 2049 to 2021, assisting their parents in their war against Godspeed clones.[8]
