"Prom Night"[1] is the fifth episode of the sixth season of Supergirl, and the one-hundred-eleventh episode overall. It aired on April 27, 2021.
Synopsis[edit | hide | hide all]
Nia and Brainy attempt to save Supergirl from the Phantom Zone by time traveling back to Kara's home in 2009. While determined to secure the item needed to help Supergirl, Brainy is worried about keeping a low profile so as not to alter the future timeline. However, when their ship crashes upon arrival, a young Kara Danvers is the first on the scene. Meanwhile, a young reporter named Cat Grant sets her sights on Midvale as she suspects there is a big story in the small town.[2]

- This is the first episode of the series to not feature Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers. Instead, Kara was portrayed by Izabela Vidovic in 2009.
- This makes no series regular to appear in all episodes of Supergirl.
- This episode once again suggests that there are two Legion Cruisers, one utilized by the Legion in the 31st century and one located in the early 21st century (2020).
- Nia and Brainy use the aliases "Brenda" and "Brandon" respectively and claim to be visitors from "Psycon" and possess psychic abilities.
