At some point in 2012, Wells went to Earth-719 in order to find a rock with valuables crystals within. Upon returning to his camp, he found a girl who took some of his food after disabling his security drone. The girl introduced herself as Maya and revealed that a far more valuable treasure was hidden within the rock. To reward Maya, Wells gifted her his hat, telling her that if her parents ever ask where the hat came from, she should respond that she earned it. The girl then revealed that she does not have any parent anymore. Wells then decided to adopt her, training her to be her own protégé.

At some point in early 2019, Wells and Maya traveled to Earth-13 to retrieve an emitter inside a mountain. Maya decided to risk her own safety to achieve their tasks, believing in Wells' motto that "the price is everything". The risk ultimately resulted in her own death as she fell off the cliff, with the incident being the source of Wells' guilt for years to come.

In 2019, Wells traveled to Earth-1 in search of Eternium. He broke into McCulloch Tech in search of it. The next day, Wells continued to track Eternium, when he was found by Cisco Ramon and Iris West-Allen. Suspicious and angered, Wells revealed himself on a zip line and swiftly pinned Ramon to the wall. Wells demanded a reason as to why they were following him and threatened Ramon with a ruby that could induce nightmarish hallucinations. Their short conflict was interrupted as Wells' gauntlet detected Eternium around West-Allen. Hoping to learn more about West-Allen, Wells approached her before she electrocuted him with a taser, bringing his unconscious body to The Bentley Building. When Wells woke up, Ramon and West-Allen tried to befriend him, though he refused and revealed that he was only there in search of Eternium and escaped by activating a smoke bomb. Later, in the ally where he met Ramon and West-Allen, he opened a manhole where Eternium was detected.

The next week, Wells had bugged Ramon to obtain information, including The Flash's identity. After hearing their conversation about saving Ramsey Rosso life with a cure at S.T.A.R. Labs. Wells appeared and made a deal with the team to find a cure for Rosso's life in exchange for an Anti-Vibrational Crypto-Circuit. Wells led them to McCulloch Tech and informed them about a bio-regenerative that McCulloch Tech stole from the Dominators during the Dominator Invasion. After they broke in, Wells knocked out two guards that almost caught them and led the duo into the lab. After not being able to find their target and hearing noises from a close distance, Wells and the duo escaped the building with his Tele-Spheres. After being threatened by Ramon back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Wells left and returned to the sewers where the crypto-circuit projected a hologram of Mar Novu going through a wall. Believing to have found him, Wells started to dig through the wall.

Days later after digging, Wells was interrupted by Joe West, who wanted to question his intentions. Wells refused to answer the question and argued with West. During the chaos, Wells' gauntlet caused an explosion that resulted in a cave-in, trapping both under the rubble. Wells argued once more with West's optimism, while working extensively on escaping. Wells shot the debris with his blaster, but was unaware of the slight differences in the components of air on Earth-1, blowing a gas line and created a fireball that burned 87% of the oxygen, giving them approximately onl 42 minutes to live before suffocating. When Wells was about to trigger his gauntlet once more to explode the debris and create a passage, the Elongated Man arrived and allowed them to escape, proving West's optimism and faith was correct. Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Wells refused to tell Team Flash as to why he was digging in the first place. However, after they offered to help, Wells ordered them to meet him tomorrow morning, claiming that he knew how to save Allen from his fate.

The next morning, he explained to Team Flash that the cause of all their problem is actually the Monitor and he considered him a false god, hoping to kill him to prove his beliefs. Allen then tried to run towards the wall, only to realize that it was protected by Eternium. Wells then revealed that the protected wall required the use ultraviolet light, which will allow him to dig through the wall without triggering the protection layer. Later, he went to the Central City Citizen to find the device he detected with his gauntlet, only to find Maya's doppelgänger, Allegra Garcia, who possessed ultraviolet emitting abilities. Garcia agreed to help Wells, in exchange for an explanation about the Multiverse and doppelgängers. In the sewers, Garcia learned during their discussion that West-Allen's husband is actually The Flash. Garcia then tried to follow Wells' instructions, only to fail to do so. Wells would soon encourage her to try again and discovered that she did not use her true power because she feared that she could become more similar to her villainous cousin. Garcia then tried again and succeeded, providing Wells enough time to take a picture of the code behind the wall. Wells returned to Central City Citizen with Garcia. After Garcia went to sleep on the couch, Wells contemplated her as a reminder of his daughter.

As Wells was about to enter, a voice called out to him, believing that the voice was the one of Novu. Wells refused to obey a "false God", which angered the voice. The voice then caused a small quake and demanded that Wells bow down to him. After the lights went out, Wells was attacked by one of Bloodwork's "Blood Brothers". He used a device that emitted an ultrasound that forced the "Blood Brother" to leave. However, when the device stopped working, other "brothers" appeared and attacked him. Wells almost got infected, though was fortunate saved when the particle accelerator exploded with ultraviolet rays, restoring all of the infected individuals. Not knowing he truth behind the explosion, Wells believed it was Novu who had saved him. At 11:58 pm, Wells recounted that he had traveled across the multiverse for many years to kill the Monitor, but was befuddled as to him saving his life from the Blood Brothers instead. The voice responded by telling him to submit and begin his life anew. He asked the voice to show him, but the voice told him the knowledge was already within him. As the symbols on the gateway glowed, Wells pushed them in a specific order, causing the gateway to open. A glowing light shined on him from the gateway and sucked him inside, with the gateway shutting behind him. Later, Pariah appeared in the sewers in front of Ramon, Snow and Allen to tell them that the gateway was actually the place where Mobius was initially confined. With his powers restored, Ramon managed to reach the memories of Pariah's former life as Nash Wells and obtained the codes of the entrance. Once inside, Pariah informed them that the speedster trapped on the treadmill and powering the antimatter cannon was actually The Flash of Earth-90. Pariah then revealed that one of the tests of the cannon caused the destruction of Earth-2. When Allen and Ramon found a way to save Flash-90, it triggered a failsafe that would obliterate the universe. Pariah got the time to summon Black Lightning before his Earth was destroyed in order to use his help to absorb the powers of the failsafe. Once the two Flashes came up with a plan, the Flash-90 took Flash-1's power in order to run backwards on the treadmill and destroy the antimatter cannon. Pariah then escape with Team Flash, leaving the Flash of Earth-90 to die as a sacrifice for the rest of the universe. Back on the Waverider, Pariah was pulled to witness the reappearance of Harbinger, corrupted by the Anti-Monitor. The Anti-Monitor managed to defeat the heroes and took the remaining energy of Novu to create an Antimatter wave that obliterated Earth-1. With the advice Novu gave him earlier, Pariah teleported the Paragons to the Vanishing Point in order to ensure the safety of the multiverse. When the Anti-Monitor asked where he sent them, he smiled and answered that he had sent them to somewhere not even his power would be able to find them. With their hopes placed on the Paragons, Wells, alongside the remaining heroes, were killed by an Antimatter wave, as the final universe of the Multiverse was wiped from existence.

Wells was restored a month later found in the sewers of Central City by a pair of workers and was taken to S.T.A.R. Labs where he was examined by Caitlin Snow, who was confused about how he ended up in his current condition. J'onn J'onzz arrived and after a brief moment of annoyance, J'onzz restored Wells's memories of the Pariah, causing him to become guilt-ridden with the fact that he had caused the Crisis. When his gauntlet detected that antimatter was still present and therefore the Anti-Monitor was not gone and was, in fact, approaching Star City, he alerted Team Arrow, the Legends, and the Paragons.

For other uses of Harrison Wells, see Harrison Wells (Disambiguation).

I can't let anyone else die for me. I've already lost so many people.
Do you know what I feel right now? Pride. Honor. And it's been so long since I felt those things. And it's not just me, the council feels it, too. And we've made a decision, we're doing this, Allen. […]
How can I be The Flash without a Wells on this team?
You've always been The Flash. You always will be, with or without me.
Barry Allen and Nash Wells[src]

Dr. Harrison Nash Wells was an adventurer and a member of Team Flash. During the Crisis on Infinite Earths, Nash Wells was forced to become Pariah, witnessing all the tragedy taking place during the Crisis and teleported to universes moments before their destruction.

Biography[edit | hide | hide all]

Early Life[edit | hide]

At some point, Harrison Nash Wells traveled to Earth-26, which was invaded by psychic starfishes. Wells then utilized a Neural Splicer in order to stop the invasion.[2]

Wells then decided to adopt her, training her to be her own protégé.[2]

At some point, Wells encountered the Council of Wells. Despite their great intelligence, he considered them "idiots" and "bozos".[5]

At some point in early 2019, Wells and Maya traveled to Earth-13 to retrieve an emitter inside a mountain. Maya decided to risk her own safety to achieve their tasks, believing in Wells' motto that "the price is everything". The risk ultimately resulted in her own death as she fell off the cliff, with the incident being the source of Wells' guilt for years to come.[2]

Across the Multiverse[edit | hide]

Tracking the Monitor[edit | hide]

Later, in the ally where he met Ramon and West-Allen, he opened a manhole where Eternium was detected.[5]

Believing to have found him, Wells started to dig through the wall.[7]

Wells shot the debris with his blaster, but was unaware of the slight differences in the components of air on Earth-1, blowing a gas line and created a fireball that burned 87% of the oxygen, giving them approximately only 42 minutes to live before suffocating. However, after they offered to help, Wells ordered them to meet him tomorrow morning, claiming that he knew how to save Allen from his fate.[8]

The next morning, he explained to Team Flash that the cause of all their problems is actually the Monitor, and he considered him a false god, hoping to kill him to prove his beliefs. Allen then tried to run towards the wall, only to realize that it was protected by Eternium. Wells then revealed that the protected wall required the use of ultraviolet light, which will allow him to dig through the wall without triggering the protection layer. After Garcia went to sleep on the couch, Wells contemplated her as a reminder of his daughter.[9]

Pariah[edit | hide]

Wells becoming Pariah

On December 9, Wells eventually manage to break the wall of what he believed to be the base of the Monitor.[10]

Not knowing the truth behind the explosion, Wells believed it was Novu who had saved him. Wells' adventures and vendetta ultimately came to an end, with him being condemned as a "pariah" for starting the Crisis and forced to witness all tragedies that occur during the apocalypse.[11][12][13][14]

Crisis on Infinite Earths[edit | hide]

After the destruction of Earth-38 and the death of Oliver Queen, Pariah materialized in front of the heroes near the monitor at the bunker. He revealed his involvement with the escape of the Anti-Monitor. When Mar Novu told the heroes that Oliver was not meant to die like that, Pariah informed them that one thing is sure. Everything that ever lived is doomed.[1]

Pariah then escaped with Team Flash, leaving the Flash of Earth-90 to die as a sacrifice for the rest of the universe. With their hopes placed on the Paragons, Wells, alongside the remaining heroes, were killed by an Antimatter wave, as the final universe of the Multiverse was wiped from existence.[4]

Consequences[edit | hide]

You nearly damned us all to hell, Nash Wells!
J'onn J'onzz to Wells before restoring his memories as Pariah[src]

Nash, Ray Palmer, and Ryan Choi devised a way to defeat the Anti-Monitor. They devised a bomb that would perpetually shrink him into the Microverse. While the heroes held off the Anti-Monitor, Nash helped devise the bomb mechanism. When only the assembly of the bomb was left, Wells, Palmer, and Choi called the Flash to fully assemble the bomb who then returned to the battlefield with Ray. Supergirl threw the bomb at the Anti-Monitor, sending him into the Microverse for eternity.
