Quest for the Spear of Destiny was Reverse-Flash's attempt to alter reality with the use of the Spear of Destiny.
History[edit | hide | hide all]
Background[edit | hide]
After the Flashpoint, Reverse-Flash was preserved as a Time Remnant. He then thought to acquire the Spear of Destiny in order to alter the reality as he saw fit, as time travel would result in consequences. Thawne eventually brought Malcolm Merlyn and Damien Darhk together and formed the Legion of Doom.[1]
Conflict[edit | hide]
Weeks later, the Legends of Tomorrow encountered Thawne's aberrations and began their conflict. Unfortunately, Thawne was able to acquire the spear and created Doomworld, though backfired with the Doomworld Legends reuniting and going back in time to stop Thawne's victory. The battle resulted in Thawne's capture and severe aberrations in time due to the Legends breaking the laws of time travel.[1]
Aftermath[edit | hide]
Following the conflict, Rip Hunter left the Legends and formed the Time Bureau to professionally handle the new aberrations. The Legends were eventually forced to retire from their job, with the Waverider confiscated by the bureau. Meanwhile, Thawne was reeducated by the Time Wraiths and sent to guard the 1914 Fixed Point.[1][2]
