Dr. Gwyn Davies[5] is a former soldier in the 38th (Welsh) Infantry Division who was one of the very few survivors of the Capture of Mametz. After leaving the military, Davies worked extensively for years in hopes of creating time travel to rescue his beloved Alun Thomas from his fate, and ultimately laid the foundation for generations to come.

Early Life[edit | hide]
Gwyn Davies served in the British Army's 38th (Welsh) Infantry Division alongside Alun Thomas during the First World War. He then befriended him and fell in love, though was ashamed of his sexuality due to his religion and the narrow-minded society not accepting it.[6]
Capture of Mametz[edit | hide]

During the Capture of Mametz, Davies and Reece were sent to deliver a message to a general. Meanwhile, Thomas was gunned down to death when the German forces ambushed the 38th Infantry Division. Davies was extremely guilted by the accident and kept Thomas' tags with him.[6][4]
Life in the United States[edit | hide]
Shortly after the war, Davies moved to the United States of America and served as one of Thomas Edison's scientists. Over the decade, Davies worked on his divine mission to create a time machine to prevent the tragedy of Alun Thomas from happening.[1]

On November 7. 1925, Davies left Edison Labs and encountered two "admirers", who in fact stole the blueprints to his time machine. Unfortunately, the two were unable to replicate the machine due to the lack of supplies and decided to steal Davies' machine instead.[1]
Later that day, the Legends infiltrated Edison Labs in search of the final part of the machine, hoping to complete the machine. They were caught by Thomas Edison and Davies was placed in Bellevue Hospital for his insane idea of time travel. Thankfully. Sara Lance was able to locate him and reveal her identity as a time traveler. Davies was in disbelief and refused to accept her rescue. though changing his mind when she promised to save Alun Thomas once he successfully assisted them.[1]
