Between 2018 and 2020, Iris West-Allen registered Central City Citizen under the name of Central City Citizen Media. Later, the news media's attempt to uncover Joseph Carver's connection to Black Hole caused Carver to file a lawsuit against Central City Citizen Media. However, due to Iris finding proof of his connection, Carver gave up and retracted his statement.^[3]

Six months after Godspeed's attack, Sue Dearbon bought the The Bentley Building and rented it as an office space to Central City Citizen, while Iris expanded the news media to consist of a podcast and a larger staff.^[4]
