Ambush on Sylvester Pemberton was an orchestrated assault on the Ultra-Humanite, posing as Sylvester Pemberton, during his attempt to investigate the Sharpe Trailer for unnoticed clues. The assault was orchestrated by the Ultra-Humanite and Shiro Ito, who intended to utilize the accident to increase the Justice Society of America's trust.

When Sylvester Pemberton realized his aggression was the wrong method to investigate The Gambler's murder, he decided to revisit the crime scene for overlooked details, albeit without the company of the Cosmic Staff.[1]
Attack[edit | hide]
Shortly after leaving the Whitmore/Dugan Residence, Mister Bones monitored Pemberton's movement to the Sharpe Trailer, where a gigantic mysterious figure grabbed Pemberton in the shadows and threw him upwards, with the impact of the fall leaving Pemberton unconscious.[1]
