    Paloma Aguilar (Earth-90)

It matters if you believe in that old fool's mambo jumbo! Real life is scary enough.
    — Paloma about the Santero belief[src]

Paloma Aguilar was the daughter of Peter Paul Aguilar.[1]

    Biography[edit | hide | hide all]

    Early Life[edit | hide]

At some point, after her father Peter Paul Aguilar went undercover and discovered the crimes of drug lord Reuben Calderon, her mother and her brothers were murdered, and she was sent to her uncle and aunt in order to hide.[1]

Day of the Dead Festival[edit | hide]

In 1990, at her uncle's restaurant, she served more dishes to Barry Allen since he was eating extremely fast. She then joked during her uncle and aunt's one-year celebration of their citizenship about not giving cake to Barry as he would eat all of it. The next morning after that the church was attacked by an "invisible force", she was present at the scene with the rest of her family and was the only one that didn't believe at what the Santero said about Chango's wrath. When Barry asked any more information on the situation, she asked if Barry actually wanted her numbers to which he said that he quit babysitting at the academy.

Later that same day, she met up with Barry after he and Julio left the Santero's shop. Her aunt then showed up and reminded her that it was dangerous to stay outside forcing her to go back home. The next day, after the Santero's shop was ravaged by an "unknown force" believed by the locals to be the gods, Paloma was outside the shop mocking as she misinterpreted his will to investigate and him wanting to date her. After that, the Santero came in and gave her a chicken foot, she threw it away causing him to "curse her" and she ran away in fear of being reprimanded. She was then surprised by Barry who managed to outrun her, and she accepted to talk about her problems. Sometime later, at her aunt and uncle restaurant, she revealed to Barry everything about her being hunted down by Calderon and her father incoming testimony.

Realizing the danger of her situation, she brought Paloma to Star Labs where she would be safer. During her sleep she was kidnapped by the "Red devil" and brought to Calderon. Her safety was then used by Marcos Trachmann to pressure her father to avoid testifying. The "red devil" later came to rescue her, but before he could take her outside he was mind controlled my Trachmann to ran away. Trachmann later implemented a mind control ship in her brain in order to control her like a puppet. At midnight, during the day of the dead festival, the mind controlled Paloma was used in order to assassinate her father and frame her. Luckily, her action was stopped by the Flash whose interference caused her to fall unconscious. Days later, after Calderon's arrest, she celebrated the event at the restaurant and during the lunch, she answered to Barry that the potion the Santero gave him moments ago was actually a love potion.[1]
