First Lieutenant Millie Rawlins is a former United States Army special ops operative and an assassin of Black Hole. After being kidnapped by Eva McCulloch, she joined her team and fought against Team Flash.

Early Life[edit | hide]
Millie Rawlins joined the United States Army and became first lieutenant as of 2013. She rescued fourteen "friendlies" from an insurgent labor camp, was awarded a Legion of Merit, and a Medal of Valor.[3]
Particle Accelerator Explosion[edit | hide]
On December 11, 2013, Rawlins was in Central City when the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator exploded. The accident gave her superpowers and she joined the special ops division with the call sign "Sunshine".[1]
Joining Black Hole[edit | hide]
After returning from the army, Rawlins joined Black Hole which placed her files in a warehouse where "David Singh" burnt down.[5] She was later sent to Mercury Labs to steal the Prismatic Refractor. However, she was defeated by Frost and The Flash. The refractor was later under Captain Joe West protection in the Central City Police Precinct. Rawlins then hid herself in the precinct using her powers to listen to West and Singh's conversation. During the transfer of the refractor between CCPD and A.R.G.U.S., she attacked them and the refractor was given to Barry Allen. Allen then ran to his forensics lab and turned on a trap for Rawlins. Rawlins ran into the lab and realized she cannot use her powers as the forensics lab's curtains were closed by Allen. A SWAT team then arrested her and cuffed her with Power-Dampening Cuffs.[1]
Interrogated by Captain West[edit | hide]
During the interrogation, Rawlins refused to reveal her connections to Joseph Carver and Black Hole. West was later attacked by Ragdoll and Rawlins managed to escape during the chaos.[3]

Arañas[edit | hide]
When Rawlins left McCulloch's team, she joined Allegra Garcia's former criminal group known as the Arañas alongside Doctor Light. The two of them would spend the next year orchestrating several high stakes heists and order their operatives to kill anyone they came across. When a former member named Lydia Sanchez asked Garcia for help in exposing them, Hoshi and Rawlins hunted Garcia and Sanchez at the CCC Media in an attempt to kill then to avoid exposure. In the end, they were both exposed to the public, the Arañas were disbanded and both Kimiyo and Rawlins went into hiding with the threat to Garcia that this was not over and that they would be back someday.[2]

Powers[edit | hide]
- Heliokinesis: After being exposed to the Dark Matter released during the particle accelerator explosion, Rawlins' physiology was altered to have the ability to manipulate light.[1]
- Disintegration: By generating high intensity of light waves, Rawlins can disintegrate human bodies and metallic objects.[1]
- Invisibility: Rawlins has the ability to bend light waves such that her body appear invisible to the naked eye.[1]
- Teleportation: Rawlins can transform her body into pure light form, allowing her to jump across great distances within an instant.[1]

- Hand-to-Hand Combat: As a former military operative, Rawlins was trained to be an exceptional combatant in the field.[1][3]
Weaknesses[edit | hide]
- Lack of Light: Since Rawlins is heliokinetic, she cannot access her abilities when there is an absence of light.[1]
- Power-Dampening Technology: Like other Metahumans, Rawlins cannot access her powers when in close contact with a power-dampening device.[3]

- Solar Band: To ensure a constant light source for her to access her abilities, Rawlins was given a solar band that stores solar energy at all times.[4]
