Colonel Jacob Kane is the founder, former commander and the major shareholder of Crows Security. Kane is also the sister of Martha Wayne, the husband of Gabi Kane and Catherine Hamilton-Kane, and the father of Kate and Beth Kane.

Jacob Kane was born in Gotham City as the brother of Martha Kane.

Kane eventually joined the United States Army and became an USSOCOM colonel. He later returned to his home city of Gotham, starting a private security agency and leading the Crows to protect the citizens in the way that neither the GCPD nor the Batman could.
