The Death of the Speed Force is a direct result of Oliver Queen/The Spectre giving Barry Allen/The Flash a boost in speed during the Crisis.

History

Background

During the Crisis, Barry Allen was required to bring the Paragons to the Dawn of Time in order to defeat the Anti-Monitor and recreate the Multiverse. However, the imbalance of energy in the Speed Force caused by the Spectre polluted the Force and made it "sick".

In 2020, Allen suffers from some "hiccups" while running and Wally West lost the communication with the Speed Force. This caused West to return from Tibet and talked to Allen.
