“ | When my father sacrificed himself, when he gave me my extra years, what was I doing with them? I was wasting them. I was drowning myself in this sea of... of pain and darkness and saying, Ollie, if you just... If you cross one more name off the list, if you save your city one more time, then you'll absolve yourself of all of this guilt. And I was wrong. This guilt is never going to go away. It is something that you have to learn to live with. That is why people sacrificed themselves. That is why I sacrificed myself for you, so that in all of this darkness... you... Could be a guiding light... A hero. | ” |

Early Life[edit | hide]
Oliver Queen was born to Robert and Moira Queen in Starling City. At some point in his life, Queen had a son named William Clayton.[43]
In 2007, Queen was aboard the Queen's Gambit, alongside his father and Sara Lance, when the boat sank. This resulted in his father dying and him being stranded on the island of Lian Yu for five years.[24]
Crusade Against Crime[edit | hide]
In 2012, Queen returned to Starling City and began his crusade against crime using the moniker of "The Hood".[44] He eventually set up a base known as the Bunker and began to work with John Diggle to cross off the names on his father's list. During one mission, The Hood confronted human trafficker John Byrne, injuring and killing many of his bodyguards. However, he decided to spare Byrne's life, sending his to prison instead.[24]
At some point after this, Queen prevented the murder of his mother by Slade Wilson. He also married Nyssa Raatko at some point, though this marriage was later annulled.[24] He later married Felicity Smoak, and they had a child named Mia Queen, who grew up alongside her brother.[43]
Magog[edit | hide]
Returning to Earth-Prime from the Afterlife, Queen observed Nora and Bart West-Allen's attempts to defeat Magog, teleporting other heroes away to see if they were able to defeat him on their own. Once he was satisfied they could, he teleported the heroes back to the battle. Afterward, Queen appeared in the Hall of Justice to warn the Justice League of a coming threat.[28]
