    Rene Ramirez (Earth-1: Pre-Crisis)

I'm tired of waiting for the day when people stop being afraid of the Glades and start coming here to raise their families. To find opportunities for growth and change. To uplift our brothers and sisters. To be better than we ever were before. If we keep waiting, we might run out of time. That's why, from here on out, we don't wait for our future in the Glades. We make our future now.
    — Rene Ramirez[src]

Rene Ramirez is the former vigilante of the Glades, known as Wild Dog. Initially an enemy of the Green Arrow, Ramirez ended up as one of his first recruits after Genesis, becoming a hero of Star City.

    Biography[edit | hide | hide all]

Crisis on Infinite Earths[edit | hide]

During the Crisis, Rene Ramirez remained in the Bunker as mission control while The Flash, Supergirl and the Atom fights a giant Beebo.[13]

Later, Ramirez fought alongside other heroes of Earth-Prime and eventually defeated the Anti-Monitor. Hours after the fight, Ramirez stayed in the Bunker and had a moment of silence for Oliver Queen.[13]

    Final Mission[edit | hide]

Weeks after the Crisis, Ramirez was preparing for Queen's funeral and received the news of the kidnapping of William Clayton, the son of Queen. He then suited up for the final time as Wild Dog and teamed up with Ragman on a search of possible locations, with the latter pointing out that Ramirez is the most similar person on the team to Queen.[5]

    Closure[edit | hide]

Before the shutdown of the Bunker, Ramirez informed John Diggle and Dinah Drake that Quentin Lance offered him the candidacy of being the Mayor of Star City. He then shut down the Bunker, leaving to attend Queen's funeral in Queen Mansion.[5]

After the funeral, Ramirez started his candidacy with the help of numerous individuals.[5]
