Detective Edward "Eddie" Thawne[5] is a former police detective of the Central City Police Department and the ancestor of Eobard Thawne, better known as the Reverse-Flash. After being resurrected by the Negative Speed Force, Thawne was sent to 2049 and lived under the name Dr.[5] Malcolm Gilmore. Thawne eventually became the latest avatar of the Negative Speed Force, better known as Cobalt Blue.
