- Superhuman Intelligence: DeVoe created the Thinking Cap to boost his intelligence and cognitive functions. After being exposed to a wave of Dark Matter during the Particle Accelerator Explosion, DeVoe's mental capabilities was exponentially increased. However, thanks to the Thinking Cap, his body was shielded from the gene-altering energy that transforms other individuals into Metahumans. This allowed DeVoe from being hidden from Metahuman DNA tests, making him less suspicious to Team Flash until his final reveal.[1]

- Technopathy: From Ramsey Deacon, DeVoe acquired the ability to manipulate technology according to his will.[3] Aside from using such abilities to infiltrate the Castle[6] and to transfer his consciousness to the Hoverchair when Dibny retook his body.[8]
- Telepathy: From Dominic Lanse, DeVoe acquired the ability to detect presence of consciousness, generate psionic blasts, producing aneurysms and to control one's motor functions.[2] However, this ability cannot work capably against those with a strong will, including Joe West, who resisted DeVoe's command to shoot himself in the head and instead wielded it against DeVoe instead.[8]
Abilities[edit | hide]
- Genius-level Intellect: Even prior to building the Thinking Cap, DeVoe already attained a superb level of intellect.[1]
- Engineering/Physics: With the joint effort of DeVoe and his wife, Marlize, they were able to create the Thinking Cap that exponentially enhanced one's cognitive functions.[1]
- Multilingualism: DeVoe is fluent in English, Japanese, French, Italian and Mandarin.[1]
- Tactics: DeVoe capably created multiple versions of his plan to Enlightenment, allowing him to stay steps ahead of Team Flash. Nonetheless, Team Flash was able to outsmart DeVoe by making use of emotions, a factor DeVoe failed to put into consideration.[8]
Weaknesses[edit | hide]
- Conscience: As DeVoe required the mind of his body to remain active in the Mindscape, this opened a weakness for his defeat. This was shown when Barry Allen entered the Mindscape and guided Dibny to retake his body.[8]
- Lack of Empathy: With a boost in intelligence, DeVoe became more and more detached from Marlize, making him appear cold and calculating at all times. Not only did this push his only ally from him, but also led to his ultimate demise as his plan did not factor in the empathy and emotions of his enemies.[8]

- Hoverchair: As the Thinker, DeVoe sat on the Hoverchair, an advanced device with multiple technological weapons.[10]
- Thinking Cap: DeVoe created the Thinking Cap to boost his intelligence and cognitive functions, which had exponential results after it was exposed to a wave of Dark Matter during the Particle Accelerator Explosion.[1]
