Singularity[edit | hide]
In 2014, Eobard Thawne acquired the Time Sphere and attempted to return to his home time period. However, The Flash and Team Flash were able to defeat him; destroying the sphere. However, with Eobard almost killing the Flash, Eddie Thawne killed himself and his evil descendant was erased. Still, Eobard's future power source was still active, causing the wormhole to go unstable and create a Singularity.[1]

Thawne's Return[edit | hide]
With the Time Sphere later placed in the Starchives, Thawne's return in 2020 led him to his attempt to steal the vehicle once more. Despite his depleting speed, The Flash was still able to catch Thawne in the act and restrain him.[2]
