“ | The Quantum Splicer works by bombarding the user's atoms with energy to create fission, but it requires the participant to be willing. If Ronnie rejects the splicer, his atomic structures would become unstable, resulting in an endothermic explosion. | ” |
Quantum Splicer is a gadget created by "Harrison Wells" and Cisco Ramon to separate Firestorm.
History[edit | hide | hide all]
In 2014, Eobard Thawne (disguised as Harrison Wells) and Cisco Ramon created the Quantum Splicer to separate Firestorm back to Martin Stein and Ronnie Raymond.[1] The splicer was then installed on a protective suit, with Jefferson Jackson replacing Raymond's place as Firestorm, though was later placed in storage when Stein was killed in action during the Earth-X Invasion.[2]
In 2021, the Quantum Splicer was repaired, after being shown in a display mannequin at S.T.A.R. Labs for years, to restore the bodies of Caitlin Snow and Frost. However, Frost chose to remain in their separated state.[3]
The splicer was later reused to supposedly bring back the physical body of Ronnie Raymond. Unfortunately, Team Flash did not realize that Raymond was an imposter, who required the splicer to possess a physical body. The splicer was soon removed from Deathstorm.[1][4]
Possible Future[edit | hide]
In 2049 of a possible future, the Quantum Splicer, alongside the suit, was placed on display in the Flash Museum.[5]
Overview[edit | hide]
Functions[edit | hide]
- Fission: The Quantum Splicer can create fission by bombarding the user's atoms with energy, capable of separating Firestorm.[1]
Drawbacks[edit | hide]
- Willingness: If the user was not using the splicer willingly, their body would reject it and the atomic structure would become unstable, resulting in an endothermic reaction.[1]
