Oliver Queen's Bows and Arrows are pairs of customized tools used by Oliver Queen and Mia Queen as the vigilante, the Green Arrow. The bows and arrows serve as their primary weapons, with the quivers storing the latter with different trick arrows.
The first bow, a recurve bow, was used when Oliver Queen first appeared in Starling City as a vigilante against a list of villainous individuals. The bow is more primitive compared to its successors, with it being made with wood and metal enclosure for the hand.[1]
Second Bow (Oneida Kestrel Compound Bow)[edit | hide]
The second bow is a significantly upgraded bow, with it being modified and able to extend when needed. The bow was used during the Dominator Invasion of 2016 and later replaced by a recurve bow in 2019.[1]
The third bow replaced the Oneida Kestrel compound bow in 2019. It was placed on display in the Hall of Justice in honor of Oliver's sacrifice during the Crisis.[2]
Following Oliver's funeral, the bow was brought to the future of 2040 by Laurel Lance, who restored Mia's Pre-Crisis memories and urged her to take up the mantle of the Green Arrow.[3]
Oliver Queen's (and later Mia Queen's) weapon of choice are a series of bows, from a primitive recurve bow, to an Oneida Kestrel compound bow, and a Hoyt Formula Faktor HP bow, which he used against his enemies from a long distance. The bows assist Oliver's unique and exceptional combat skills that he acquired during his five years in "Hell". The bows and arrows could be fired from a long distance and easily incapacitate his enemies. Additionally, the bows could easily be converted to a close-combat melee weapon while Oliver could use it similar to a stick.[1]
The limbs of later bows could be contracted into a small piece of metal, allowing Oliver and Mia to bring, transport and store them without being noticed in the public. The limbs of said bows could also extend into their regular appearance within seconds, shortening the time required for both Oliver and Mia to prepare for a fight.[1][3]
Conventional Use: The regular arrows are made of carbon and metal hybrid which could easily penetrate human flesh while also difficult to remove from the wound.[3]
Grapple/Zip Line: A series of specialized arrows allow Oliver and Mia to shoot a durable rope in order to assist their escape from buildings. The tip of the arrows extend to a hook and latch onto solid ledges, with the rope automatically adjusting to the distance. The bow could then be used to hang onto and slide across the rope to the intended location.[1][3]
Canary Cry: This arrow combines the conventional arrow and the Canary Cry, which emits a strong sonic pulse in all directions, knocking individuals unconscious.[6]
