James "Jim" Gordon is the former police commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department.

GCPD[edit | hide]
At some point, Jim Gordon became the police commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department. During his tenure, Gotham City became known for its rampant crime.[1] He later married Barbara Kean, and they had a son named JJ Gordon. However, their marriage later fell apart after their son was convicted of murder, and they got divorced. Gordon also eventually left the GCPD, and was replaced as commissioner by Jack Forbes.[2]
