The Department of Defense Headquarters is the primary base of operations of the United States Department of Defense and its child agency, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

The Stranger's Attack[edit | hide]

In 2021, after tracking an armored man for days, the Department of Defense was attacked for its reserves of Green Kryptonite. Upon his arrival, General Sam Lane used his ELT to call for Superman's assist and evacuated the building while the defense forces failed to hold the Stranger back. Superman then tackled the Stranger as he tried to warn Lane of Superman's unpredictability and threats to the world. However, Superman soon discovered that it was merely a remote controlled drone and not the actual Stranger.[1]
Arrest of Superman[edit | hide]
In 2022, Lieutenant General Mitch Anderson took over Lane's post as the commanding officer. With the Bizarro Conflict and Superman's unwillingness to work under the American government's orders, Anderson, with General Hardcastle's permission, arrested Superman and placed him in custody alongside Tal-Rho, until the two escaped.[2][3]
Escape from the Department of Defense Headquarters[edit | hide]

The Department of Defense Headquarters later suffered from another devastating attack when Peia Mannheim gained access of a new serum from her son, with her immediately attempting to escape the facility. Mannheim destroyed the command center of the headquarters and knocked many soldiers unconscious before escaping custody.[4]
