The Batcave is the underground lair and hideout located under Wayne Tower in Gotham City. The cave served as the base of operations for Batman, and later, the Bat-Team.
History[edit | hide | hide all]
The Dark Knight[edit | hide]
At some point, the Batcave was created as an underground lair for Bruce Wayne. Multiple rooms were created across the underground facility to store advanced technology created by Lucius Fox of Wayne Enterprises alongside Batman's rogues gallery's gadgets.[1]
The Scarlet Knights[edit | hide]
In 2018, Kate Kane returned to Gotham City three years after Bruce's disappearance. She then discovered the Batcave despite Luke Fox's prevention. Kane soon took over Bruce's role as Gotham's protector and became the Batwoman until she was supposedly killed in a plane accident.[2]
The Batsuit was discovered by Ryan Wilder, who suited as Batwoman and joined the Bat-Team afterward.[2]
Wayne Enterprises Takeover[edit | hide]
In late 2021, Marquis Jet threatened Ryan to hand over the position of CEO of Wayne Enterprises. As a result, Wayne Tower was given to Jet right after Luke sealed off the Batcave from the office.[3]
Rooms[edit | hide]
- Elevator: By moving Martha Wayne's pearl necklace displayed on the shelf in Bruce's office, the shelf moves away, and a metal cage-like elevator appears, which leads to the Batcave.
- Batcomputers: Presumably developed by Lucius Fox, an advanced computer allows himself and his son to assist Batman through communication devices as well as accessing the city's network to acquire information.
- Garage: The garage for the Batmobile was initially hidden behind a wall by the side of the Batcave. It was later discovered when Tommy Elliot, disguised as Bruce Wayne, used Lucius Fox's gun to destroy the wall.
- Conference Room: The conference room was created for an unknown purpose.
- Storage Rooms: There are multiple storage rooms in the Batcave which stores Batman's dangerous gadgets and his trophies of his incarcerated/deceased enemies.
- Workshop: Lucius Fox used to work in the workshop to develop Batman's gadgets and also an exosuit based on his son's design of a "black Batman".
