Thousands of years ago, there was an evil Imp named Jyrryd, and he created an all-powerful AllStone to give him mastery over... everything. "Everything," as in... Everything. Energy, matter, magic, even life and death. The other Imps found out about it. They banished Jyrryd, and they blew up the AllStone, scattering the pieces throughout the known universes where they became the totems of truth, destiny, love, dreams, hope, humanity and courage.

The AllStone, alternatively known as the AllStone Totems, is a Fifth Dimensional artifact created by Jyrryd to give him mastery over essentially "everything". The artifact was later destroyed into multiple pieces and scattered across the known universes.

    History[edit | hide | hide all]

    An Evil Imp[edit | hide]

Thousands of years ago, Jyrryd created the AllStone to bestow himself great power to rule over essentially everything. The Imps discovered the creation and banished Jyrryd, destroying the AllStone and scattering its pieces across the known universes.[1]

    Brand New World[edit | hide]

Following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, the said, "known universes" were destroyed and recreated, with the pieces reuniting on the same universe. This attracted the attention of Nyxlygsptlnz, an Imp banished to the Phantom Zone and hoped to seek her revenge on her own family.[2]

Quest for the AllStone[edit | hide]

When Kara Zor-El was liberated from the Phantom Zone, Nyxlygsptlnz held on to the Tower and secretly travelled to Earth. However, her magic was weakened due to years of being inhibited. This led to her search for the AllStone Totems, while the Super Friends worked against her.[1]

Over the next few months, both sides worked extensively and researched on possible human artifacts serving as a disguise for the totems. In the end, the Super Friends were able to acquire most of the totems, though were later stolen and assembled by Nyxlygsptlnz with the assistance of a future Lex Luthor and Mitch.[3]

Battle of National City[edit | hide]

Despite their initial allegiance, Luthor and Nyxlygsptlnz fought against each other over their pieces, while the Super Friends searched for a way to stop both of them. The Super Friends were ultimately joined by the Legion in the battle. Before they could strike, Luthor opened a portal to the Phantom Zone, with the Phantoms forcibly bringing himself and Nyxlygsptlnz into the realm with the AllStone rendered powerless.[4]

    Overview[edit | hide]

The totems appear to be disguised among human's greatest artifacts that represented their respective "element", including truth, destiny, love, dreams, hope, humanity and courage, which are all equally important to the lives of the Multiverse. When revealed by saying the word "cgyrzyx", the totems will put its challenger into "gauntlets". The gauntlets vary from totem to totem, with some bringing out the challenger's memories for them to truly understand the concept the totem conveys.

    Totems[edit | hide]

    Courage Totem[edit | hide]

    Courage Totem
Face your past... Face yourself... Face the moment you lacked true courage.
    — Totem Oracle[src]

Disguised as David's slingshot, the red Courage Totem puts its challenger into a simulation of the moment they lacked courage and required them to think of an alternative way to handle the event. The ultimate goal for the gauntlet is to let the challenger prove they have the courage to be vulnerable.

    Humanity Totem[edit | hide]

    Humanity Totem
The Totem can belong only to one of ready heart. Is that you?
    — Totem Oracle[src]

Disguised as Igor Starros' pendant made from a wood the Buddha once sat on, the orange Humanity Totem will require its challenger to answer if they are one of ready heart. Although appearing to have no further tests, the totem itself is, in fact, the test, as they release a shockwave that affects a radius of individuals to lose their empathy while channeling it into the challenger.

    Hope Totem[edit | hide]

    Hope Totem
To obtain the Totem, inspire a hope that burns longer and brighter than the sun.
    — Totem Oracle[src]

Disguised as the Hand of the Flower, the white Hope Totem requires its challenger to inspire a hope that burns longer and brighter than the sun.

    Dream Totem[edit | hide]

    Dream Totem
You are not pure, Maeve Nal. You are a traitor to your blood, trying to take her power for your own.
    — Totem Oracle[src]

Also known as the Totem of Dreaming, the blue Dream Totem is the only totem to not be concealed as another object, but rather hidden deep in the Dream Expanse. The totem was initially kept in the temple of the Minoan Oracle of Delphi, though was hidden with only those of pure mind, heart and sight can access when the temple was attacked.

    Love Totem[edit | hide]

    Love Totem
Fill your heart with love. Only then will love be given to you.
    — Totem Oracle[src]

Disguised as a part of the grave of Inês de Castro, the pink Love Totem could shift its location until it falls into the hands of those with genuine love for someone else. The totem was later concealed within the body of Esme as a tattoo of a rose.

    Truth Totem[edit | hide]

    Truth Totem
To see things as they truly are, you must reveal the truth within yourself.
    — Totem Oracle[src]

Disguised as a camera, a device that never lies, the green Truth Totem places its challenger in a simulation of their whereabouts alone, forcing them to reveal their deepest desire and truth until they are released.

    Destiny Totem[edit | hide]

    Destiny Totem
In order to take the Totem, you must face your destiny without it.
    — Totem Oracle[src]

Disguised as a ball of yarn near the statue of the Fates in St. Vassily's Cathedral, the purple Destiny Totem would show a vision of its challenger's future, though does not seem to be a gauntlet of any kind but merely a display.
