Abner Krill, better known as the Polka-Dot Man, was a Metahuman criminal and a member of Task Force X.

Early Life[edit | hide]
Abner Krill was born to an unnamed woman and was raised among multiple brothers and sisters. However, they were all experimented on by their mother, who aspired her children to become superheroes. As a result, Krill was infected with an inter-dimensional virus, causing acidic polka-dot to appear under his skin.[1] Later, Krill accidentally murdered her mother when he thought she was going to hurt her.[2]
The Suicide Squad[edit | hide]
Recruitment[edit | hide]
In 2021, Amanda Waller recruited Krill to Task Force X and told him to meet his team, consisting of Bloodsport, Peacemaker, King Shark and Ratcatcher 2. The team was then sent to Corto Maltese in order to destroy all traces of something only known as Project Starfish.[1]
Upon arriving on the island, Krill's faces started glowing in multiple colors, frightening his teammates. Krill reassured them and claimed to have a rash, which allowed them to continue their camping in the forest. While the team was sleeping, Krill's face started to get swollen and glowing in more colors. He quickly went behind a bush and expelled the dots from his body, returning to his normal appearance.[1]
The Search[edit | hide]
In the next morning, the team packed their equipment and went to a camp where Rick Flag was supposedly held in after being capture. With Smith and DuBois murdering all of the residents, the team immediately opened a blind and found Flag having tea with Sol Soria. The team lied and claimed not to have seen any of her allies, with Krill telling the truth quickly afterward. Soria was forced to forgive them and worked alongside the task force in search of Gaius Grieves.[1]

The group walked across the mountains to the town and briefly stopped as Krill's face started glowing with polka-dots and Cazo got tired. They demanded answers on Krill's unusual appearance, and he explained that he was infected with an inter-dimensional virus by his mother. They then arrived at an army facility where they met Milton, a driver for the Freedom Fighters. Krill started changing into civilian clothes in order to infiltrate La Gatita Amable, the gentlemen's club that Grieves often visits.[1]
As Grieves had yet to arrive, the team started ordering drinks and enjoyed themselves, with Krill dancing with individuals that appeared as his mother in his mind. They were then interrupted when Grieves entered the building, only to encounter another obstacle as the army arrived in search of Americans. DuBois, Flag and Smith stayed behind as distractions while Krill and Cazo brought Grieves back to the minibus.[1] Unfortunately, Nanaue was missing and Cleo searched for him across the city, Grieves then told Krill that he was aware of his past and attempted to manipulate him to give him the firearm. Krill was able to see through his lies and shot him in the ear, while Cazo returned with Nanaue.[2]
With the help of Milton, they drove to the crash site of the army transport, where they found DuBois, Flag and Smith breaking out of the vehicle. Krill listened to the leaders and soon discussed their next moves: rescue Harley Quinn from captivity.[1]
Operation Harley[edit | hide]
Still in their civilian outfits, the team got into position as Flag and DuBois infiltrated the building. However, Quinn appeared next to them, revealing that she had escaped by herself without assistance. The team then resumed their objective to infiltrate Jotunheim.[1]
Operation Jotunheim[edit | hide]

The team soon got into their respective suits, with the Thinker driving to Jotunheim and infiltrating the building. The team then stormed the building in the rain and was able to enter the lobby.[1]
Under the commands of DuBois and Flag, Krill, Cazo and Milton followed the former to plant a series of explosives on the walls of Jotunheim. They were then confronted by a group of soldiers who shot and killed Milton. Despite being with Milton for the entire mission, the team were unable to recall him as Krill got emotional over the death of one of his teammates. In revenge, Krill shot a series of polka-dots at the soldiers and triggered the explosives on the floor, igniting a chain of explosions and destroying the building.[1]
Thankfully, Krill, Quinn and DuBois were able to survive the fall and were able to hang on to the remaining constructions of the building. With the team back together, they ran away as Starro had escaped control. The team were able to protect themselves from Starro's extensions by covering their faces under Cazo's advice. Despite Starro's escape, Waller demanded the team to leave as the objective of the mission was completed. DuBois slowly walked away, only to be forced back by his compassion as Krill followed.[1]
Waller back in Belle Reve was then knocked unconscious by Flo Crawley. The team followed Emilia Harcourt and John Economos' orders to evade Starro, fighting the injected individuals with their respective abilities. During the chaos, DuBois gave orders to the team, telling Krill that Starro is his mother. Out of rage, Krill released an extensive amount of polka-dot at the giant starfish, demobilizing it and destroying its leg. While celebrating for becoming a superhero, Krill was crushed to death by Starro's leg.[1]
After the battle, Cazo walked to the remains of Krill and held a piece of his suit, mourning for her fallen teammate.[1]

- Inter-Dimensional Virus: To convert her children into Metahuman superheroes, Krill's mother infected him with an inter-dimensional virus.[1]
- Polka-Dots Manifestation: Once in a while, polka-dots surfaces on Krill's body and allows him to use them as projectile weapons. However, due to its instability, Krill has to wear a pair of gauntlets in order to fully control the release of them. The polka-dots were also shown to be acidic, as they were able to burn through human skins and trees easily.[1]
Abilities[edit | hide]
- Engineering: Krill created and wore a pair of gauntlets that controls his powers.[1]
- Hand-to-Hand Combat: Krill was capable of fighting the extensions of Starro easily using basic hand-to-hand combat skills.[1]
Weaknesses[edit | hide]

- Power Instability: Krill's powers are highly unstable, being able to eat him alive if he does not expel them twice a day. Additionally, Krill has no control over the dots' movements.[1]
- PTSD: After being experimented on for years and the deaths of multiple siblings, Krill developed post-traumatic stress disorder and occasionally sees everyone as his mother through hallucinations.[1]
- Power-Dampeners: With a power-dampening activated around his neck, Krill could not access his powers.[1]

Former Equipment[edit | hide]
- Polka-Dot Man Suit: Krill wore a white costume with polka-dots and a pair of red goggles to conceal his identity. Additionally, it consists of a pair of controlling gauntlets that allowed him to release his polka-dots at will.[1]
- Nano-Bomb: Upon joining Task Force X, Krill was injected with a bomb in the base of his skull.[1]
