Peter Merkel is a Metahuman criminal and was an assassin of Black Hole until he was incarcerated by The Flash.
Biography
Working with Black Hole
At some point, Peter started working with Black Hole and a file of him was in a warehouse.[2]
Assassinating Joe West
Peter was called to the Carver House and was ordered to kill Captain Joe West.[1]
When Joe was driving in a car, Peter hid in it and disabled the breaks. Joe was frightened and moved away from other cars. However, Peter caused the car to crash into a wall and Joe was forced to abandon the car and jump out of it in the last second.[1]
After his failed attempt, he decided to attack Joe in a box in the precinct while the interrogation of Sunshine. Joe shot Peter and he reflected it back to him. The Flash ran in but due to the Death of the Speed Force, he is not able to catch the bullets in time and one of it hit Joe's shoulder. During the chaos, Sunshine was able to escape and regroup with other Black Hole assassins.[1]
As Peter had 2 failed attempts, he tried differently and kidnapped Cecile Horton. During his attack, Nash Wells and Allegra Garcia tried to stop him but failed and was knocked unconscious. Cecile was later brought to an abandoned building and tied up with a pressure explosive device. Joe and The Flash arrived on scene and they split up to fight Peter and save Cecile. The Flash confronted a series of pipes and used a wrench to force Peter to come out. Peter escape and they fought hand-to-hand until The Flash locked him to a pipe with a Power-Dampening Cuff. The Flash asked why he worked with Black Hole. Peter answered that his mother died. Later, Peter was arrested and incarcerated by CCPD while Joe saved Cecile.[1]
