    National City Police Department (Earth-38)

    Valor & Integrity
    — Motto[src]

National City Police Department (NCPD) is the primary law enforcement agency within National City.

    History[edit | hide | hide all]

In January 2020, the NCPD was called on scene when Weather Witch attacked the harbor. However, they were overwhelmed by her Metahuman powers until the DEO sent Supergirl as assistance. The Flash later arrived as well and defeated Weather Witch, putting her in NCPD custody.[1]

Later that year, the NCPD was contacted due to hate crimes towards transgender individuals, with Yvette being one of those victims. Despite Detective Rivers's assistance and investigation, the crimes were still continued until Dreamer (Nia Nal) chose to bring herself as bait in order to lure the suspect and kill him. Eventually, she was convinced by Supergirl to not kill him and bring him to the NCPD instead. After the series of events, Barney Fife went to one of their precincts and provided information on the hate crimes using DEO resources.[2]

In mid-2020, the NCPD went to the Leviathan Warehouse after Lex Luthor supposedly rescued hostages who were trapped in the Obsidian Platinum platform.[3]

A few weeks later, the DEO Headquarters was destroyed by Rama Khan and the NCPD arrived on scene in order to keep bystanders away and offer assistance to injured personnel.[4]
