Khalil Payne is the former classmate of Jennifer Pierce and later a cyborg weapon for the ASA known as Painkiller.

- Cybernetic Enhancements: Payne was cybernetic enhanced. When Painkiller is in charge, he has access to all of those enhancements.[1]
- Paralytic Venom/Antidote Touch: Payne's body has a series of venom glands on his hands, which can be transferred to his victims through a simple touch. However, his glands were altered to be able to issue antidote for the serum after leaving Freeland.[13]
- Regenerative Healing Factor: Payne can heal from any minor injuries in a short period of time.[1]
- Inception Immunity: Payne's mind cannot be accessed by any telepathic individuals.[1]
- Superhuman Durability: Payne was shown to be extremely durable against conventional weapons, often suffering from little to no injuries despite facing the attack directly.[1]
- Superhuman Strength: Payne has the ability to lift heavy objects with ease, and send individuals flying with a single throw.[1]
- Superhuman Jumping: As a side ability of his strength, Payne can leap higher than average individuals.[1]
- Superhuman Stamina: Despite running and combating for a long period of time, Payne does not appear to be tired or exhausted afterward.[1]

- Peak of Human Physical Condition: As trained by the ASA, Payne's body became a perfect weapon for the organization and was able to overpower his opponents easily.[4]
- Marksmanship: Presumed to be a part of his programming, Painkiller is also proficient in handling firearms and accurately shoot at his targets.[4]
Weaknesses[edit | hide]
- Painkiller Protocol: As a side effect of the Painkiller Protocol, Payne suffers from the lack of control of his abilities. However, he was able to slowly negotiate with Painkiller over the months after leaving Freeland.[4][6]
- Claustrophobia: Payne is claustrophobic and struggled to climb through the vents.[14]

- Painkiller Suit: Painkiller wore a black protective suit after being activated by the ASA. He later continued to wear an altered suit after leaving Freeland.[4]
