When El's brother discovered his abilities, El himself was overshadowed by his brother's spotlight, yet remained supportive of his brother and proposed the name of "Superboy". However, Jon did not appreciate the effort and soon grew further apart with his brother.[1]
Going into Hiding[edit | hide]
In 2021, Jon-El joined Ally Allston after Lois Lane brought his brother to Sam Lane, away from Kal. Soon afterwards, Jon stormed the DOD Headquarters and demanded Project 4377. Sam refused, while Jon allowed them to go into hiding at the El Farm. During the time, Kal-El increased his strength and decided to travel to the inverse universe, trying to stop Ally Allston from achieving Ascension.[1]
Fighting Back[edit | hide]
Months later, the family was approached by Mitch Anderson, who was in possession of the Oblivion Stone. El asked Anderson on his father's survival, soon realizing that he had been killed by Anderson, who initially thought him to be a monster. The conversation was interrupted by the arrival of Ally Allston and her group including Jon-El, searching for Anderson. Eventually, Jon was able to acquire the Oblivion Stone and traveled to UE-43, leaving his family at the farm.[1]
