The Daily Planet is a newspaper publisher based in Metropolis.

Foundation[edit | hide]
The Daily Planet was founded at some point in Metropolis, New York. They eventually hired several staff members including editor-in-chief Perry White, journalist Lois Lane, gossip columnist Cat Grant, and photojournalist James Olsen.
Superman and Supergirl[edit | hide]
At some point in the early 2000s, Clark Kent became a journalist for the Daily Planet. During his first day on the job, he rushed out of a staff meeting to rescue Lois Lane from a news helicopter crash.[3] At some point after this, James Olsen took the first photograph of Superman.[4]
In May 2009, Cat Grant travelled to Midvale, after gaining approval from Perry White, to investigate rumors of a super-powered individual operating in the town.[5]
Man of Tomorrow[edit | hide]
In 2020, Lex Luthor had a front-page article in the Daily Planet on the day he was scheduled to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.[6]
