    That is Superman.
    Where is he going?
He's headed to Q4 105BV. We've predicted the collapse of a red dwarf star near a planet that might hold life. When he gets there, he'll try to counter-act the effects. Save an entire galaxy from destruction. This is what we do.

Clark Kent, born Kal-El, is the vigilante known as Superman.

    Biography[edit | hide | hide all]

    Early Life[edit | hide]

Kal-El was born on the planet Krypton and was sent to Earth as a baby due to the planet's imminent destruction. He landed in Smallville, Kansas and was adopted by Martha Kent, who raised him on the Kent Farm under the name of Clark Kent. During his childhood, Kent befriended Lex Luthor.[4]

    Adventures of Superman[edit | hide]

    Early Years[edit | hide]

During his adulthood, Kent moved to Metropolis and used his powers to become the vigilante known as Superman, quickly becoming beloved by the city's population and developing a working relationship with S.T.A.R. Labs. At one point, he was asked to break into a S.T.A.R. Labs facility to test their advanced security systems, but was unable to do so.[6]

During this period, his prior friendship with Lex Luthor began to deteriorate, and the two became bitter arch-enemies, resulting in Luthor trying out of jealously to kill or become like Superman for several decades. At some point, Kent also befriended Bruce Wayne, learning of his secret identity as Batman in the process.[3]

    Trigon's Dreamworld[edit | hide]

In a dreamworld created by Trigon for Dick Grayson, Kent and Wayne had a falling out, as he believed that something had snapped inside Wayne following the deaths of two of his closest allies, Alfred Pennyworth and Jim Gordon.[2]

    Conner Kent[edit | hide]

During his encounters with Superman, Lex Luthor managed to acquire some of his DNA and set about to create a clone of him in order to vicariously fulfil his goal of becoming like the hero. However, he was soon informed by Dr. Eve Watson that it was impossible to stabilise pure Kryptonian DNA, and so he decided to add his own DNA to the clone, resulting in the creation of Subject 13.[4]

After learning of his true heritage, the clone decided to adopt the name of Conner Kent in honour of Superman. Upon learning of his existence, Kent requested a meeting with Conner at the S.T.A.R. Labs Metropolis Facility, but was forced to postpone it after learning that a red dwarf star was about to collapse near Q4 105BV, a planet believed to hold life.[3]

    Powers and Abilities[edit | hide]

    Powers[edit | hide]

    • Kryptonian Physiology: Due to his Kryptonian physiology, Kent has a variety of superhuman powers when exposed to the energy of a yellow sun.[4]
      • Solar Energy Absorption: Kent's body is able to absorb yellow solar radiation and covert it into energy, which in turn fuels his superhuman abilities.[4]
        • Flight: Kent is able to manipulate his gravitational field to levitate and fly faster than the speed of light, allowing him to travel anywhere near instantaneously.[7]
        • Freeze Breath: Kent has a much larger lung capacity than humans and so can inhale large amounts of air to expel at superhuman speeds towards his enemies. He can use this ability to freeze objects to sub-zero temperatures or to breathe in noxious substances which would harm regular people.[4]
        • Invulnerability: Kent is impervious to almost all forms of physical damage and so cannot typically be harmed unless special means are used.[4]
          • Accelerated Healing Factor: Even when physically injured, Kent's body heals far more quickly than the average person's would and far more efficiently as the healing process does not leave scars.[4]
          • Self-Sustenance: Kent is able to travel into space without the use of specialist breathing equipment.[3]
        • Heat Vision: Kent can fire red energy beams from his eyes, which are capable of incinerating anything they come into contact with.[4]
        • Longevity: Kent ages at a far slower rate than humans and so will live for much longer than they will.[4]

          • Superhuman Hearing: Kent is able to perceive and focus on sounds from great distances.[4] Likewise, he is able to clearly perceive frequencies which would be impossible for humans to hear.[3]
          • Superhuman Vision: Kent is able to view the entire electromagnetic spectrum at will and differentiate between different forms of energy.[4]
            • Telescopic Vision: Kent is able to see things from incredible distances and can zoom in on them if required.[4]
            • X-Ray Vision: Kent is able to see through solid objects, including inside a human body.[4]
        • Superhuman Speed: Kent is able to move at beyond the speed of light, allowing him to traverse incredible distances in a short amount of time.[4]

    • Green Kryptonite: Kent is vulnerable to green kryptonite, one of the few substances capable of injuring or killing him.[4]
    • Magic: Kent can be injured or killed through the use of magic.[6]
