Trivia
- Barry refers to a journalistic "Arkham exposé". Arkham, of course, refers to Arkham Asylum, the facility later featured in many Batman films. However, this episode aired before Arkham appeared or received mention in any of the Batman TV shows or films, thus the first TV or movie reference to Arkham was in a Flash TV show, not a Batman related adaptation.
- When Barry is walking Earl by a theater, they are showing Showing Batman (1989). A film Danny Elfman also wrote the score.
- It also shows th Superman film (1978).
- Rock star Alice Cooper was approached to play Lesko but declined because of the drug-related plot.
- The title of the episode is called Child's Play. Ironically Perrey Reeves who plays the girlfriend of the main antagonist also played the role of Andy Barclay's love interest Desilva in Child's Play 3.
