Arthur Brown is the former host of Quiz Bowl and the criminal known as Cluemaster.

At some point before 2016, Arthur Brown became the host of Quiz Bowl and gave birth to Stephanie Brown, whom he nicknamed as "Pointer". Later, Arthur started getting furious as the contestants of his show "dumbed down" questions, causing him to be fired and started a murder spree.[1]

In 2016, Arthur was arrested by Sophie Moore and accused of 13 life sentences. Arthur was then incarcerated at Blackgate Penitentiary and was approached by Sophie, who was questioned of the reason she outsmarted Arthur. He later spent his sentence plotting his escape and revenge on Sophie Moore.[1]

In 2021, Arthur murdered a guard and escaped, leaving the message "I'll give you a clue I want more". Arthur soon approached his daughter and hoped that she would join his revenge. She refused and Arthur knocked her unconscious, carving crypto-messages on her body and locking her in a box of poisonous gas, with it only being able to be opened through gun shots. Without his daughter's assistance, Arthur proceeded his plan and poisoned Sophie with a puss caterpillar alongside a clue for their pursuit. Ryan was then able to reveal an emblem after deducing the use of "hot shot" in Arthur's clue.[1]
Sophie, Ryan and Mary then rescued Stephanie from the box, using her relation to Arthur and located his whereabouts. Unbeknownst, they fell into Arthur's trap, and he activated a series of questions regarding the criminals of Gotham. His plan later fell when Ryan and Mary escaped using a zip line baton. With Stephanie deciphering the true whereabouts of Arthur, Arthur greeted his daughter at their old house and discovered that it was her who turned him over five years ago. He was furious and locked themselves in a car, releasing a series of poisonous gas until Luke Fox rescued them from death. He was then sent back to Blackgate once more and continued his sentence.[1]
