Zari Tomaz, born Zari Tarazi, is hacker from the erased dystopian timeline of 2042, a bearer of the Air Totem and a member of the Legends of Tomorrow. Tomaz is also the daughter of an unnamed man and Nasreen Tomaz, and the brother of the Behrad Tomaz. She was erased when the Legends altered the timeline in Heyworld, 2019, which caused the Anti-Metahuman Act to never have happened and Tomaz never became a hacker. Zari Tarazi was born around 2009 and 2010 to Nasreen Tarazi and an unnamed man.
The Air Totem
Due to the Anti-Metahuman Act, the Tarazi family lived as the Tomaz family and hid from ARGUS. Unfortunately, their possession of the Air Totem led to ARGUS locating them, with Tomaz's brother, Behrad, being killed.[2]
Later, Tomaz was recruited and joined the Legends of Tomorrow. She utilized her brother's Air Totem and discovered more about the mythology of the Totems of Zambesi with fellow bearer Amaya Jiwe.[3]
Point of Divergence
However, the Anti-Metahuman Act was erased from existence when Tomax altered the timeline with the Legends, creating a more accepting society. Tomaz was then erased from the timeline and replaced by Zari Tarazi. Unbeknownst to the Legends, Tomaz was in fact preserved in the World Between Worlds.[4]
