    FIRESTORM[edit | hide]

In 2015, Bates detected a nuclear explosion that separated Martin Stein and Ronnie Raymond in the Badlands. Wade Eiling then sent a squad to retrieve them in order to turn Firestorm into a weapon.[1]

On that night, Eiling sent his army to CC Jitters to retrieve Ronnie. Ronnie was later being sped away by The Flash and the latter was injured when Eiling used the Kinetic Needles to disable him. Caitlin Snow then drove the S.T.A.R. Labs mobile research unit and brought them both away. Despite their successful rescue of Ronnie, Stein was not protected and was then kidnapped by the remaining army forces.[2]

Team Flash then tried to communicate with Martin Stein while he was being tortured. Ronnie felt Stein's emotions and feelings and used a shattered piece of glass to ask where Stein is. Stein used his connections and told them "27" in morse code. They then checked the army database and let Barry bring Ronnie to save Stein. After they arrived, Barry sped Stein out but was shot with acids and had to leave Ronnie along to fight. Ronnie and Stein then merged as Firestorm and fought the army. They won and left respectively back to S.T.A.R. Labs.[2]

Soon, "Wells" as Reverse-Flash sped to the facility and took Eiling with him to Grodd's hideout. Wells claimed that he will stand up for his kind, the Metas and left Eiling with Grodd.[2]
